Preoperative diagnostics such as x-rays or ultrasounds can offer details about underlying conditions. However, the results of these tests do not always provide the same results as with intraoperative findings (Pastore et al., 2007). Exploratory laparotomy is commonly performed for the diagnosis, treatment, or prognosis of traumatic, inflammatory, infectious, neoplastic, and congenital abdominal diseases (K. Janas & K.
